Using the Program Function on the C 568 Compact Disc Player
The program function allows you to store your favorite tracks from any disc in the player's memory. To program a sequence of tracks, the C 568 must be in STOP mode (Press the [⏹] STOP button on the CD9 remote to enter STOP mode).
Programming Tracks
Using the CD 9 remote control, follow these steps:
- Start Programming: Press the [PROG] button on the CD 9 remote control. The display will show “P00 T000,” with “000” blinking, indicating that the player is awaiting the first program entry.
- Enter First Track: Use the Direct-Entry numeric keypad to enter the first track in your sequence. For example, press “5” to enter track number 5. The front panel display (VFD) will then show “P01 T005,” with “005” blinking three times.
- Enter Second Track: The display will revert to “P02 T000,” indicating that the player is ready for your second program entry. For example, press “8” to enter track number 8. The VFD will show “P02 T008,” with “008” blinking three times.
-
Continue Programming: Repeat steps 2 and 3 to store other track numbers in memory, up to a maximum of 40 entries.
- CD Tracks: When you reach P40, the three blinking digits will continue flashing and won’t stop, unlike the previous 39 entries.
- MP3/WMA Files: If you attempt to program more than 40 tracks or files, “P-FULL” will be displayed on the VFD.
- Finalize Program: Press [PROG] to finalize the program. The VFD will show the last programmed number and track.
- Start Playback: Press [⏵] to start playback of the first programmed track. Use [PLAY/PAUSE/SKIP] to skip forward or backward through the programmed tracks.
Notes
- To select file number “119” in a disc with 100 or more MP3/WMA files, press “1” twice and then “9.”
- Pressing the [⏹] key during programming will stop the sequence and clear all currently programmed tracks or files. The VFD will revert to displaying the total number of tracks and total playback time for an audio CD, or the total number of files for MP3/WMA.
