To enable the VU meter display for sources on T778, perform the following steps:
- On the front panel display, tap the MENU button (3 lines) in the upper-left corner.
- Select the Settings icon
in the left menu.
- Tap Setup Menu > Front Panel Display Setup.
- Select BluOS Source Front View to configure the BluOS Source's front panel display.
For all other sources, select Other Sources Front View.
BluOS Source Front View
- Cover Art Only – displays album/title art, station ID symbol, or icon only.
- Cover Art and Meta Data – displays album/title art, station ID symbol, icon, and other information like album name, song title, artist name, the title of the show, show host, the current title of the song being played back, and such.
- Cover Art and VU – displays album/title art, station ID symbol, icon, and other information like album name, song title, artist name, the title of the show, show host, the current title of the song being played back plus VU meter*
- Source (Simple) – displays Source name (BluOS) only
- Source (Detailed) – displays Source name (BluOS) plus other information like volume level, audio format, video format, and such.
- Analog VU meter*
- Digital VU meter*
* VU Meter monitors or reflects the audio level of the current BluOS source. If “Mute” is enabled, the VU meter will not turn off or go to a minimum level as it is the audio output that is muted.
Other Sources Front View
All Sources’ (except BluOS) front panel display contents and layout can be configured by selecting either option below:
- Source (Simple) – displays Source name only
- Source (Detailed) – displays Source name plus other information like volume level, audio format, video format, and such.
