Manual Standby Mode
To enable manual Standby Mode using the Standby button, press the Standby button on the top panel. The Status Indicator LED turns Amber*.
The Player, powers off with minimal power consumption (less than 0.5W), rendering it inaccessible via the network, CEC, or BluOS Controller App.
To keep the Player accessible via the network, CEC, or BluOS when on Standby, enable the CEC/LAN/BluOS in Standby option.
Press the Standby button to switch the T778 from Standby Mode to Operating Mode.
*Note: If Zone 2 is active, the front display turns off and the Status Indicator LED remains Blue. To enable Standby Mode for the entire Player including Zone 2, press and hold the Standby button until the Blue LED turns Amber.
Auto Standby Mode
When Auto Standby Mode is enabled, the T778 automatically switches to Standby Mode when there is no user interaction or active source input for 30 minutes. The Player, powers off with minimal power consumption (less than 0.5W), rendering it inaccessible via the network, CEC, or BluOS Controller App.
To keep the Player accessible via the network, CEC, or BluOS when on Standby, enable the CEC/LAN/BluOS in Standby option.
To enable Auto Standby Mode, perform the following steps:
- On the front panel display, tap the MENU button (3 lines) in the upper-left corner.
- Select the Settings icon in the left menu.
- Tap Setup Menu > Control Setup.
- Select the Auto Standby option and toggle to enable or disable the Auto Standby function:
- On (Enabled): The player automatically switches to Standby Mode when there is no user interaction or active source input for 30 minutes. To wake it up, press the Standby button on the front panel.
- Off (Disabled): Automatic standby mode is disabled.
CEC/LAN/BluOS IN STANDBY
To keep the Player accessible via network, CEC, or BluOS when in Standby Mode, enable the CEC/LAN/BluOS in Standby option. The Player, powers off with minimal power consumption (less than 8W), rendering it accessible via the network, CEC, or BluOS Controller App.
To enable the CEC/LAN/BluOS in the Standby option, perform the following steps:
- On the front panel display, tap the MENU button (3 lines) in the upper-left corner.
- Select the Settings icon in the left menu.
- Tap Setup Menu > Control Setup.
- Select the CEC/LAN/BluOS in the Standby and toggle to enable or disable:

On (enabled):
- Enable CEC feature: Audio and video will continuously stream from a CEC-enabled HDMI source to a CEC-enabled TV (with both devices connected via T778).
- LAN and BluOS connections continue to be active.

Off (disabled):
- T778 will not pass through any CEC message. Audio and video will not be streamed from a CEC-enabled HDMI source to a CEC-enabled TV (with both devices connected via T778).
- LAN and BluOS connections are idle or inactive.
