Change Code Library
The HTR 10 allows storage of multiple default NAD code libraries for each DEVICE SELECTOR "page".
If the original library does not operate your NAD Amplifier or other component, follow these steps to change the code library:
Note: The Learn LED is located between the ON and OFF buttons.
- Ensure the product you want to control with the HTR 10 is plugged in and actively powered ON (not in standby mode).
- To enter Library Mode on the HTR 10, simultaneously press and hold the required DEVICE SELECTOR key and the [A/V PSET] key for 3 seconds until the Learn LED turns Green.
- Point the HTR 10 towards the component. Enter the first suitable three-digit code library number from the table below.
- Press [OFF]. If the component powers off, press [ENTER] to accept that code library number and exit Library Mode.
If the component does not power off, proceed to the next suitable three-digit code library number. Once you find the correct number and the component powers off, press [ENTER] to accept that code library number and exit Library Mode.

Search Mode
If none of the codes from the table successfully turns off the component, despite following the previous steps, you may want to consider using the "search" method outlined below:
Note: The Learn LED is located between the ON and OFF buttons.
- Press and hold both the desired DEVICE SELECTOR key and the [A/V PSET] key simultaneously for 3 seconds until the Learn LED turns Green to enter Library Mode.
- While in Library Mode, press and hold either the HTR 10’s [⯊] or [⯋] cursor key. The remote will cycle through all available codes at a rate of approximately 1 per second.
- Release the cursor [⯊/⯋] key immediately when the component powers off.
- Press [ENTER] to accept the code library that successfully controls the component and exit Library Mode.
Test a few commands to ensure proper functionality. If you accidentally skip the required code, re-enter Library Mode and use the cursor [⯊/⯋] key to move back to it.
Note: Search mode may discover code libraries that partially operate components from other brands besides NAD. You can certainly use these capabilities if they are useful. However, please note that we can only guarantee the completeness and accuracy of NAD code libraries. Therefore, we cannot provide support for the HTR 10's functionality with components from other brands.
Checking Code-Library Number
To check the current code library on any DEVICE SELECTOR key, perform the following steps:
Note: The Learn LED is located between the ON and OFF buttons.
- Simultaneously press and hold both the required component’s DEVICE SELECTOR key and the [A/V PSET] key for 3 seconds until the Learn LED turns Green to enter Library Mode.
- Press the [INFO] key. The HTR 10 will display the current code library by sequentially flashing its [STB], [AUX], and [MACRO] keys.
For example, to indicate code-library #501, the HTR 10 will flash:
[STB] 5 times, pause, and then flash [MACRO] once.
