The NAD HTR 10 is ready to operate the T778 right out of the box, but it is essentially five remotes in one. Each of the 5 DEVICE SELECTOR keys at the top of the handset can call up a new "page" of remote control codes to be transmitted by the remaining keys. You can "teach" codes from any infrared remote-controlled component, regardless of brand, to any or all of these.
Typically, you would teach the codes from your AMP player to the [AMP] DEVICE SELECTOR “page,” your television’s codes to the [TV] “page,” and so on, but there is no required scheme. You can load any commands to any key on any page. Learn more about copying codes from other remotes.
The HTR 10 comes pre-programmed with a full complement of T778 commands on its [AMP] DEVICE SELECTOR page, as well as BluOS commands on the [BLS] DEVICE SELECTOR.
These default commands are permanent. Even if you teach the HTR 10 new commands, the underlying library commands remain and can be easily recalled if you add an NAD component to your system later. Learn more about how to delete commands on the HTR10 remote.
Library commands for operating other compatible NAD-brand Amplifier, DVD, BD, CD, or Tuner devices can also be programmed into any of the DEVICE SELECTOR keys.
Getting Familiar with the HTR10
The HTR 10 is divided into two main sections.
Device Selector Key: The top section has five DEVICE SELECTOR keys—[AMP], [TV], [BLS], [STB], and [AUX} — that set the handset’s remaining keys to a “page” of commands to control a particular component. A DEVICE SELECTOR key determines only what component the HTR 10 will command; it does not perform any function on the component.
Function Key: All the remaining keys are function keys that can “learn” control codes from virtually any infrared remote controller, allowing you to teach the codes of your equipment, regardless of brand, to the HTR 10.
However, the HTR 10 comes pre-programmed to operate the T 778. All the function keys on the [AMP] Device Selector "page" are set to perform T 778 functions.
To initiate the following T778 remote control commands, select AMP from the DEVICE SELECTOR buttons:
1 | ON, OFF |
The HTR 10 remote control has separate ON and OFF buttons:
|
2 | DEVICE SELECTOR |
A DEVICE SELECTOR button only determines which component the HTR 10 will control; it does not perform any function on the T 778.
