The following methods help you connect NAD CS1 to the home network.
Wired
A wired connection to the network is simple and requires no setup. If you must use the wired connection, connect NAD CS1 directly to the router or home network using the Ethernet cable.
Wireless
A wireless connection allows you to place NAD CS1 anywhere in the home but does require some setup. You can connect NAD CS1 to the wireless network using any of the following methods:

- [Android] Google Home App
Prerequisites
NAD CS1 should be in Hotspot Mode (Power Indicator LED alternates Green and Red).
Note: Press the Standby button for more than 5 seconds to place NAD CS1 in Hotspot Mode.
[iOS] Wireless Accessory Configuration (WAC)
Procedure
- On the iOS device, tap the Settings App.
- Tap Wi-Fi. Scroll down to select NAD-CS1xxxx* under SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER…
*Note: xxxx is the last four digits in the MAC (Machine Access Control) address (example: NAD-CS1d0d3). The complete 12-digit MAC address is printed on a sticker on the bottom panel of the device. - The App discovers the WiFi network – currently connected by the iOS device.
Note: To connect to other WiFi networks, select Show Other Networks... - (Optional) Enter Speaker Name.
- Tap Next.
- Once the WiFi setup is complete, tap Done.
[iOS] Google Home App
Procedure
- On the iOS device, tap the Google Home app.
- Tap Set up NAD-CS1xxxx or similar.
*Note: xxxx is the last four digits in the MAC (Machine Access Control) address (example: NAD-CS1d0d3). The complete 12-digit MAC address is printed on a sticker on the bottom panel of the device. - Choose the required home environment and tap Next.
- Tap Next on the NAD CS1 found screen.
- When you hear the sound from a device connected to NAD CS1, tap Yes.
- Tap Yes, I’m in to improve the user experience.
- Select the room location and tap Next.
- Select the required Wi-Fi network and tap Next.
- Tap Next on the Linking your NAD CS1
- Review the device setup and tap Next.
- Tap Skip Tutorial. NAD CS1 is set up and is now ready for casting.
- Tap Finish Tutorial to complete the setup.
[Android] Google Home App
Procedure
- On the Android device, tap the Google Home app.
- Tap the + icon on the upper-left corner of the app.
- Tap Set up device.
- Select New device.
- Choose the required home environment and tap Next.
- Select NAD CS1 and tap Next.
- When you hear the sound from a device connected to NAD CS1, tap Yes.
- Tap Yes, I’m in to improve the user experience.
- Select the room location and tap Next.
- Select the required Wi-Fi network and tap Next.
- Enter the Password and tap Connect.
- Tap Next on the Linking your NAD CS1 screen.
- Review the device setup and tap Continue.
- NAD CS1 is ready for casting; tap Continue.
- Tap Skip tutorial. NAD CS1 is set up and is now ready for casting.
- (Optional) To adjust the volume of NAD CS1, select NAD CS1 from the Google Home app.
- (Optional) For device information, tap the Settings (gear) icon in the upper-right corner.
