The M66 introduces NAD's Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) circuitry, a pioneering feature that, when activated through the BluOS Controller app, eliminates digital inter-sample peak clipping distortion during digital-to-analog conversion, notably enhancing the impact and realism of percussion instruments such as rim shots and cymbals.
Enable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH)
To enable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) in M66, perform the following steps:
Android/iOS - Enable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH)
- In the BluOS Controller App, tap the Players tab and select the required M66 Player.
- Tap the M66's context menu (3 dots) and select Audio Settings.
- Toggle to enable the Dynamic Digital Headroom option (blue highlighted).
The Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) is enabled for the Player.
Windows/macOS - Enable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH)
- In the BluOS Controller App, click the Player Drawer and select the required M66 Player.
- Click the M66's context menu (3 dots) and select Audio Settings.
- Toggle to enable the Dynamic Digital Headroom option (blue highlighted).
The Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) is enabled for the Player.
Disable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH)
To disable Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH), toggle the Dynamic Digital Headroom option to off (black highlighted).
